The Murder of William White, Yeoman Farmer of Hoo
Introduction
The William White murder has puzzled and intrigued many people for nearly 200 years. It has never been solved.
Today, examining the evidence available, only makes the murder even more mysterious. Conflicting evidence from numerous sources exacerbates the problem of filtering fact from fiction.
However, on these few pages, I enclose several newspaper articles and my version of events, collated from numerous sources. You can make up your own mind who murdered the farmer but the newspaper articles of the day - and those that have been printed since, only tell half the story.
